When Taranaki-bred musician MC Tali released her debut album Lyric On My Lip in 2004, she was one the few female drum n bass MCs in the world. The album's title track entered the UK singles chart, and the record went on to sell more than 15,000 copies. MC Tali has released a documentary, which captures the ground-breaking impact her record 'Lyric on my Lip'' had on dance music in the early 2000s.
