Slice of Heaven was never meant to be a hit. It was just meant to be a song in New Zealand’s first ever animated feature film Footrot Flats A Dog’s Tale based on the popular comic strip by Murray Ball.

This is the story of how Slice of Heaven was a most unlikely underdog.
