A Ngati Whatua member is adamant tribes are more than capable of protecting Te Reo Maori and encourgaing the language to thrive in homes, despite some politicians suggesting iwi are not ready; Meanwhile, a Maori language advocacy group believes the government should delay plans for Te Reo, until problems within the Kohanga Reo National Trust are resolved; The lawyer of the women who has had her Maori land protected by the Environment Court says it sets a precedent for Maori land to be protected; A Tuhoe leader is paying tribute to the Pakeha architect who designed its recently opened tribal headquarters; The new chair of Enterprise Great Lake Taupo, Greg Stebbing, says he wants local iwi entities be more direct about their investments.
