There are plans for two iwi to control the licence to broadcast the country's oldest Maori station; The Ministry for Culture and Heritage is investigating the seizure of Maori artefacts by American authorities; The Rotorua District Council has made changes to the way it engages with iwi after being found by the Environment Court to have mislead to iwi; The Maori Language Commission is encouraging the council in Tauranga to buy in to the idea of making Te Reo an everyday language of communication in the city.
