Minister says Japanese whaling ships in EEZ disrespectful

The government has labelled a Japanese whaling ship entering New Zealand's Exclusive Economic Zone as "unhelpful, disrespectful and short-sighted". The Japanese vessel was chasing the Sea Shepherd's Steve Irwin which was on its way to refuel at Port Chalmers.
