Te Whanau a Apanui iwi along the East Coast will take a zero tolerance stance on the failure of students and its three local schools from 2017; A Tauranga tribe says it will only make ethical investments with its Treaty settlement cash - and will not put money into alcohol and gambling; The Tauranga iwi, Nga Potiki o Tamapahore, also signed its Treaty settlement at the weekend; The Waitangi Tribunal has granted the New Zealand Maori Council - a judicial conference today - to explain why its claim about the act that it comes under - should be heard under urgency.
