A Christchurch man who started the campaign to put the Maori names of the North and South islands back on the map isn't happy with the government's decision to adopt the alternative titles; Meanwhile, the Kaiwhakahaere of Ngai Tahu, Sir Mark Solomon, is thrilled with the Government's approval to use the alternative Maori names; The new head of Taranaki Whanui's corporate arm in Wellington says one of his top priorities is to get the books back in the black; Maori filmakers are to be showcased this month at the world's largest indigenous film festival in Canada.
