At least 149 killed and thousands injured in Egypt

The Egyptian government has declared a state of emergency, after a crack down on protest camps in Cairo turned deadly. Thousands of supporters of the ousted president, Mohamed Morsi, had been camped out at two major sites in the city since he was toppled in early July.
