The Maori Arm of the Nurses Organisation say it's still fighting pay inequalities which see some nurses at iwi providers paid 25 per cent less than those at district health boards; A Northland group has rallied nine Maori to stand for local government and boards in a bid to have a stronger tangata whenua voice in the region; The chair of a collective of Mayors who aim to increase youth employment says a holistic approach is needed to get more Maori in to work; The doors to Auckland's new Maori electorate office, Tamaki Makaurau, have opened today.
