Students and teachers at Gisborne's Kaiti School will march to meet their mayor today - as part of their campaign for Poverty Bay to be called Turanganui a Kiwa; The Maori Language Commission says people are using social media to criticise poor Maori pronunciation on air; The Iwi relationship board to Te Tairawhiti Health Board says it would have a better chance of achieving its goals if it was more aware of the government's priorities for health; A Maori academic says if the government helps with insuring marae, it could be undermining the mana involved with looking after marae and its taonga.
