NZ Catholic Church supports Australian sex abuse inquiry

The Archbishop of Sydney, George Pell, has accused the media of a "persistent campaign" against the Catholic Church in the wake of the Australian government's decision to hold a royal commission into institutionalised child abuse. Meanwhile the Archbishop of Wellington, John Dew, says any allegations regarding the Catholic Church in New Zealand would be investigated thoroughly and properly.
