The national museum, Te Papa Tongarewa, is preparing to welcome home this morning 22 koiwi tangata or ancestral remains from two Australian museums; Te Papa's Kaihautu or Co-Leader, Michelle Hippolite, says today's repatriation is significant; An eastern Bay of Plenty iwi plans to re-commence Treaty talks with the Government, once it receives a mandate from all its hapu, not just a majority of them; The South Island's biggest iwi says its commercial success is helping rangatahi become builders, carpenters and electricians.
