Bay of Plenty Regional Council says Maori landowners are playing their part in helping improve the water quality of Lake Rotorua; Te Wai Maori trust, which has a responsibility to advance Maori interests in freshwater fisheries, says it's time moves were made to stop whitebait or inanga from being sold commercially; The Education Review Office says urgent repairs need to be made to the hostel of a Maori boarding school for girls in the Rangitikei district; A Rotorua resident says consent to build a refuse transfer station in the suburb of Ngapuna, would never have happened if local government had adhered to the wishes of local Maori.
