Waikato Regional Council has paid tribute to one of Maoridom's most respected leaders, Timoti (Timi) te Heuheu, who died yesterday; A Northland iwi chairperson has told the Waitangi Tribunal that Maori will never give up their interest in water; The National Hauora Coalition which is a Maori led and owned primary health organisation, has joined forces with Peak Primary Limited which has a network of general practices all over the North Island; The Labour Party's health spokesperson says with Northland's high unemployment and Maori communities caught in a poverty trap, it's no wonder there are serious health inequalities in the region.
