Urgent Waitangi Tribunal hearing into water claims begins

The Waitangi Tribunal will today begin an urgent hearing that the Maori Council hopes will delay the sale of shares in state-owned energy companies. The Council says the partial privatisation should be put off until a wider investigation into historical claims for water have been heard and resolved.
