Some Maori social service organisations are accusing the government of unfair and discriminatory treatment; The Labour Party's health spokesperson says a recent Otago University study which shows that Maori are less likely than Pakeha to put off going to the doctor because of the cost, deserves closer consideration; A Te Arawa elder and education expert, Toby Curtis, has been appointed as the interim chairperson of the cultural arm of New Zealand's first iwi operated educational body.
