A group of iwi members protesting against the inclusion of Hauturu-Little Barrier Island in a hapu's Treaty settlement say they're demonstrating as a last resort; The co-author of the first in-depth assessment of Maori health needs in Taranaki says the report identifies the extent of inequality in health services between Maori and non-Maori; The first of ten hui in this country and Australia will be held tomorrow for descendants of Tauranga-based Iwi, Ngati Ranginui to encourage them to register and be able to vote on the tribes Treaty of Waitangi settlement; The Governor-General, Lieutenant-General Sir Jerry Mateparae, is busy recognising Maori contributions to communities.
