The Maori Affairs Minister is confident the Government will seriously consider recommendations from a Maori Economic Development Panel, on ways to improve the performance and productivity of the Maori economy; The Maori Economic Development Panel Chairman says there's been a lot of interest from businesses, the public sector and iwi organisations, in helping develop a strategy and action plan to improve the Maori economy; A Moriori leader says the company behind the Chatham Rock Phosphate venture, needs to consult with the Chathams island community, before the project goes any further; About 200 Maori and Pacific students from 15 low decile secondary schools in Auckland, are been given a chance to find out more about the rapidly growing information and digital technology sector.
