A national body representing many Maori immersion schools hopes the funding it receives from government will not be under threat by an idea to trial so-called charter schools; The Mana Party says it's being singled out by Auckland Council, which has issued a trespass notice to the Occupy Auckland protesters - who are against corporate greed; An Auckland tertiary institute that delivers its programmes in te reo Maori has recieved a glowing report from the Qualifications Authority, saying the increase in reo Maori speakers is an excellent outcome for Maori society; Six million dollars is to be shared out among groups that want to improve the health of the Waikato River.
