The country's first Maori language immersion school has found a new principal, 15 months after a Ministry of Education appointed manger was sent in to sort problems at the kura; The Ministry of Fisheries in Gisborne will be closely studying a judge's reasons for dismissing charges against a police sergeant and a businessman, before deciding on any course of action; The Families Commission says discussions at a workshop in Auckland today will have a strong influence on government policies and reinforce Whanau Ora strategies to improve the well-being of vulnerable families and children; Te Arawa wants to see all iwi and hapu flags flying along with the New Zealand flag on Waitangi Day next year.
