The Maori Party co-leader, Tariana Turia, is disappointed that her party lost the Tai Tonga seat to the Labour party, but she says there's still lots of work to be done over the next three years; Out of the seven Maori seats in the 2011 general election, Labour's Parekura Horomia had the most convincing win, holding his Ikaroa-Rawhiti seat with a majority of nearly 6-thousand votes over the Maori Party candidate, Na Raihania; The Labour Party's Rino Tirikatene who's won the title of Te Tai Tonga MP, says he's looking forward to serving his people; A former New Zealand First MP, says the party leader, Winston Peters, will bring a counterproductive element to parliament, with neither the Green Party nor the Labour Party wanting to work with him.
