A Queensland-based community organisation representing Maori living in Australia, has been on a major drive to get Maori to vote in the up coming New Zealand election; A Maori politics lecturer at Victoria University says there's a perception politics is for experts and who don't understand tend to get advice from people such as their kaumatua; There's a fresh call to change Guy Fawkes night to Parihaka day; Meanwhile, Taranaki descendants have been called together in solidarity to march to Parliament today to mark the 130th anniversary of the raid on Parihaka.
