Should children be taught to type in schools?

Digital assessment is increasingly common and some tests, like the NCEA reading, writing and maths tests, are extremely high-stakes. Documents show that prompted the Education Minister Erica Stanford to ask the Qualifications Authority last year whether the school curriculum should include touch-typing.
