Coastguard wants lifejackets to be mandatory on all vessels

Today, submissions will be heard on the Life Jackets for Children and Young Persons Bill, which would make lifejackets for children under 15 mandatory on all recreational craft shorter than 6 meters. But Coastguard Tautiaki Moana believes the rules need to go further. Its chief executive Carl McOnie spoke to Corin Dann.
