Police have spent the night patrolling the scene of two fatal stabbings at a birthday party in Gisborne on Saturday.
Two people were killed, three are in hospital and one person has been arrested after a mass brawl involving 100 people broke out at a house on Lytton Road in Elgin.
Officers have been present at Gisborne Hospital managing access in and out of the emergency department.
