Auckland utility company Watercare has found itself in hot water on social media, after using an offensive stereotype of women to promote water conservation.
The post, shared on both Facebook and X - reads: "ladies, we're all for showering in a fiery inferno, but 27 percent of your power bill is used to heat water. So, let's keep it snappy to keep your wallet happy! One shower, four minutes - it's all you need."
The post is part of Watercare's 'Make Every Drop Count' campaign.
