The Government Wellington City Council and the Greater Wellington Regional Council have agreed in principle to dump the $7.4 billion Let's Get Wellington Moving project.
Some things will stay, others added.
Central Government will build and fund the Basin Reserve upgrade and a second Mt Victoria tunnel, and Wellington City Council will bring the Golden Mile project in-house.
Cycling groups, businesses and city councillors have reacted to the decision.
