A new report from the senior doctors' union says people's dependency on private healthcare, to provide what public services can't, is rapidly increasing.
Evidence of this includes a Bay of Plenty iwi organisation which has bought private health insurance for its 110 workers for the first time because they are getting so hard hit by hospital waiting lists.
