A gut cancer patient paying more than $100,000 for treatment wants Pharmac to fund the drugs that are keeping her alive.
And she's not alone - gut cancers are one of the most common form of cancer in the country, with 5,700 New Zealanders diagnosed every year. In an open letter to the drug-buying agency, oncologists are urging for newer and better funded medication.
