A leading economist says a drop in future building consents could disrupt the country's economic momentum.
A new quarterly economic report from Infometrics shows increased economic activity, and a 3.5% rise in filled jobs for the June 2023 quarter, compared to last year.
However, Infometrics chief executive and principal economist, Brad Olsen, warns the coming months won't be as strong.
Olsen spoke to Ingrid Hipkiss.
