Kiri Allan has resigned from all her ministerial portfolios after being taken into custody following a car crash in Wellington on Sunday night.
In a statement in the last half hour, the Prime Minister has confirmed Allan has been charged with reckless driving and resisting arrest.

A statement from Allan says she will head home to consider her future in politics.
