A Talbot Mills corporate poll shows Labour has dropped to it's lowest result in four years to 31 percent.

That represented a fall of five percent, while National climbed one point to 36 percent.

The poll, which has a margin of error of three per cent, is produced for Talbot Mills' corporate clients.

The company also conducts Labour's internal poll. Speaking frankly from Europe where he is at the NATO summit, Chris Hipkins said his party needs to focus on issues that matter to New Zealanders.

Political commentator Josie Pagani spoke to Corin Dann.
