The government says it's reviewing the country's emissions trading scheme, and one of the industry group's most affected by the process says the move was "long overdue".
Beef and Lamb says the agricultural sector has been badly served by "out of control" exotic planting in order for some to gain entry to the scheme.
It says it wants to see the intent of the scheme met, the reduction of climate pollution at source and greenhouse gas removals.
