Thousands of secondary school students will be at home this morning as schools wait to hear if industrial action will continue this week or not.
The facilitator who oversaw bargaining between the union and the Education Ministry on Friday recommended arbitration and a halt to industrial action.
But the secondary teacher union PPTA has yet to decide what it will do.
So, in the meantime, that means schools will continue to ask thousands of students to stay home.
