Far from the scandal embroiling his party back home, Prime Minister Chris Hipkins met with King Charles at Buckingham Palace overnight.
Mr Hipkins, who is in the United Kingdom for Saturday's Coronation, left the 30-minute audience with a special gift from the King.
Earlier in the day, Mr Hipkins paid a visit to the New Zealand troops training Ukrainian soldiers, after announcing the government has extended that deployment by another year.
