The National Party says it will pay off part of the student loans nurses and midwives rack up during study, if they commit to working in New Zealand for five years.
They'd pay four-thousand-500-dollars per year, for five years. Nurses and midwives like the idea, but say it's only a start and more still needs to be done to address health sector worker shortages.
