A new study shows deep ocean currents around Antarctica that circulate nutrients which are the base of the food chain, are set to significantly weaken.
The Australian research published in the journal Nature shows that unless significant cuts in emissions are made, the currents are likely to weaken by 40 percent by 2050, and could be headed for collapse.
