After repeated setbacks in accessing flood-stricken sites, there's finally some idea of the scale of cyclone damage to schools.
Nearly 400 schools across the North Island have reported damage, with five in Hawkes Bay and Tai Rāwhiti hit so hard, they can't open on site.
