Victim advocate remembers former MP Chester Borrows

From Morning Report, 8:40 am on 28 February 2023

Former National Party MP Chester Borrows has died, aged 65, after being diagnosed with cancer last year.

Borrows had served as Courts Minister and the associate minister of justice in Sir John Key's National government.

In more recent years Chester Borrows was a staunch advocate for reform of the justice system, chairing the Safe and Effective Justice advisory group.

Ruth Money, a victims advocate who was also on that group, says Chester Borrows was a "beautiful human".

She spoke to Corin Dann.
