The organisation representing Tai Rāwhiti forestry companies has thrown its support behind a ministerial inquiry into slash and land use.
A panel will investigate forestry practices after discarded logs and other debris took out bridges and farmland during Cyclone Gabrielle.
The inquiry - headed by former Cabinet minister Hekia Parata - will report back in two months.
