Search and rescue teams are still combing the streets for people needing help, more than a week after Cyclone Gabrielle struck.

About 800 people in Hawkes Bay and Tai Rāwhiti are still unaccounted for.

Police are asking people to register on the Police website if they, or a person they were concerned for, is now safe.
