A report into the treatment of staff under the Recognised Seasonal Employer scheme has found major gaps in the system allowing a systemic pattern of human rights abuses.
The report was run by the Equal Employment Opportunities Commissioner, Saunoamaali'i Karanina Sumeo.
The Commissioner has made 13 recommendations to the government, the first of which being an urgent review of the RSE scheme before the 2023 season, in which three-thousand additional RSE workers could be coming into the country.
