The Prime Minister looks set to have a full schedule of one on one meetings with a host of leaders at the APEC summit in Thailand, starting tomorrow.
It's understood she'll have her first face to face meeting with China's leader Xi Jinping for the first time in three years, along with likely talks with The Phillippines, South Korea, and Indonesia.
It's also likely she'll catch up informally with the US vice president Kamala Harris and Canada's prime minister Justin Trudeau.
RNZ business editor Gyles Beckford has been travelling with Jacinda Ardern on her Asian trip.
He told Morning Report if the Prime Minister does meet Xi Jinping that will be important for a host of reasons.
