After the predicted red wave failed to deliver, the race to win control of the US Senate remains tightly contested.
The decision of whether Democrats or Republicans gain control will be decided by whichever party wins two of the three outstanding contests in Arizona, Georgia and Nevada.
But the race in Georgia will not be decided until a run-off election in December, with this week's vote being too close to call.
