A British newspaper pitted Liz Truss in race against a lettuce, and the lettuce has won.
The tabloid Daily Star set up a live feed of an unrefrigerated iceberg next to a photo of Truss and asked in a Twitter post "Which wet lettuce will last longer?" the post later went viral.
The stunt echoed comment by the Economist magazine that in a column titled "The Iceberg Lady" described Truss as having "the shelf-life of a lettuce".
Truss resigned after 45 days in the role, while the lettuce is still going strong.
The Daily Star's Abigail Hunt spoke to Morning Report.
