The Black Caps are aiming to go one better than last time as they begin their campaign at the Twenty-20 Cricket World Cup on Friday night.
A sold-out crowd of almost 50,000 fans will pack into the Sydney Cricket Ground to see the hometown favourites Australia take on New Zealand.
That's if the weather plays ball, of course.
As Clay Wilson reports, the game is a chance for New Zealand to make an early statement, and to avenge their T20 World Cup final loss to the same team less than 12 months ago.
