Inflation has now become embedded within the economy.
That's the view of the National Party after the latest inflation figures were announced yesterday - the annual rate was point-six of a percent higher than expected at 7.2 percent.
National says widespread labour shortages and elevated government spending has lit a fire under inflation, and says fixing immigration settings and imposing fiscal discipline could address the problem.
