It's the end of Wayne Brown's headline-grabbing first week as Mayor of Auckland.
Since taking the mayoral chains he has called for board members of council controlled organisations to resign, said Aucklanders are on the brink "into an economic and fiscal storm" because of council mis-spending, and said he believes his $296,000 salary is not large.
Morning Report has asked Brown for an interview every day this week but we were turned down.
