The skilled migrant residency visa is reopening within weeks but an immigration adviser says it's taken too long given there's no immediate change to the system.
The tap was turned off for skilled migrants when the pandemic started and it's been even longer - six years - since the parent category last accepted new applications, that's reopening too.
The visas were available to people with a job or offer in New Zealand.
