How much support Wayne Brown will have on the Auckland Council is still unknown.
He may lose his narrow majority around the council table, with two seats changing hands in the latest vote count to favour left-leaning councillors.
Dr Andy Asquith, who specialises in local government here and in Australia, says the Auckland mayoralty will be a far bigger challenge for Wayne Brown than his job as the Far North Mayor.
